I have always been interested in antique machinery, antique cars, antique toys etc. I have a large Maytag collection as well as over a hundred peddle cars and several antique toys like Buddy L, Doepke, Tonka vehicles. I have restored a 48 Ford from the ground up to all original, numerous Maytag items and toys. I spend almost all my spare time tinkering in the garage and always seem to have a project going.
I bought a old Maytag washer with a gas motor in 1987, I then tried to find information to restore it, I found lots of collectors but no way for them to keep in touch with each other and share information. It was suggested I start a club, so my wife Charlene and I did in 1988 and we have had Maytag on the brain ever since.
